Things are pretty quiet around here without Dad around. It's funny how you don't really notice how much a part of your life someone is until they're not around any more. I'm just glad that Dad's reason for not being here is a happy one.
In other news, plans continue for the wedding. Brynn has, of course, agreed to be my Maid of Honour and we've picked out a gorgeous red dress for her. I should probably send out invites next week, since I just realised tonight that the wedding is in 2 months and 17 days. I thought I had more than 3 months to go, but then I came across one of those fun ticker sites that does wedding tickers so I made one out of interest and discovered that it's actually 2 months and 17 days.
I don't think there's any point having a proper reception. There are only a handful of people invited (quite literally) so we might just have dinner somewhere and cake and that'll be it. I don't really care about all that. We could have pizza at home and I'd be happy as long as the people I love are there (and I know Steven would prefer that!).
I don't think there's much more to organise actually. At least, for me. John is organising the honeymoon, the rings and his and Steven's suits. I just have to find my dress, which is harder than I thought given that no one shop stocks all of the dresses I want to try on, so this means a lot of driving.
I do, however, already have some sexy lingerie to wear on our honeymoon... ;)
