I am so glad to be home. And thank the LORD they gave me a packet of these really quite good painkillers before I left the hospital.

Steven is adorable, as always. I missed him so much when I only saw him once a day and now it's so good to be with him again. He's being a bit clingy but I think that will fade with time once it sinks in that I'm really not going anywhere.

Back to work on Monday. At least it's an office job so it should be fine. I think I can manage to sit and answer phones and do paperwork. It will give me something to focus on instead of staring at the walls all day and going crazy.

I was thinking, Dad, since Steven had such a great time with you (and he's still in one piece, jk) that maybe he could have a sleep over with you once a week or every couple of weeks or whatever works for you really. He really needs a good male role model and I couldn't think of anyone better qualified for the job.

I'm flattered! But yeah, I'd love to have him over. How about we aim for doing it on Friday or Saturday nights, so he doesn't have to worry about school in the morning? And if an emergency comes up, we'll reschedule for a different day.

I'm glad you're finally out and home again (and a new one at that!).

That works for me. Brynn's ex has her son every second weekend, and she's keen to go out and do something, so that'll work well. Who knows, I might actually get a life ;)

Okay, that sounds good. Every other weekend for certain, with some extra ones (time permitting). And you already have a life kiddo! Hahah.

By the way... how'd work go?

Yes, definitely. It doesn't have to be on a schedule or anything. Just whenever you've got time, give me a call. Unless Steven has something on, it's fine with me. Perhaps I should have said 'social life' then ;) Haven't had one of those in a while.

Work starts Monday, so haven't been in yet. Still got the weekend to go. Feel free to come by and visit whenever you get a chance. Steven is missing you - and so am I.

Will do. And yeah... social life sounds much better.

Gwen's gone to London for the weekend with Toshiko. How about I come over on Saturday? I'll aim for the afternoon, but I'll be there for certain by dinner time. And I miss you both too.

Saturday afternoon would be great. Perhaps you can help Steven get rid of some of his energy. He's driving me mad at the moment and I can't take him to the park to run it off.

Also, feel free to bring Cookie if you want. Steven misses her.

I'll take him out and we can play some football or something. Or just go to the park with Cookie and he can run with her.

I'll definitely bring the dog. She misses him too.
